No doubt we have seen the warnings on billboards alongside freeways announcing that Jesus will return to Earth May 21 for the Rapture.

One logical question all Christians should ask themselves is: "When is Jesus Christ going to return?" When I read my Bible, I run across words like, "For ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh" (Mat 25:13). I also read, "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord

doth come" (Mat 24:42). I understand that to mean, "You're not going to know until I come for you." Other people throughout history have read the same words of Jesus and have come up with different interpretations of what He intended. They've somehow managed to get around all restrictions against precise date setting. On a number of occasions, by doing so, they created pure havoc. The most recent to do this is  Harold Camping who I think is sincere but at the same time is sincerely wrong.

You must ask Jesus to be your Savior. You accomplish that by asking Him to forgive you of all your sins. When you ask Him to be your Savior and to forgive you, the request must be from the heart. You cannot just ramble off a few words and go on your merry way. At the core of every appeal for forgiveness is remorse. If you have remorse for your sinful state, you will receive God's forgiveness. After you commit yourself in words to Jesus, you then begin to follow Him with your actions. Do this by reading His Word and implementing His teachings into your life. If He says, "Love your neighbor," then love your neighbor. If He says, "Do not commit adultery," then do not commit adultery. Do this until the day He comes or until the day you join Him in death.

We have lost it. Somewhere along our journey from ancient to modern christian,  we have misplaced the other side of grace. It was undoubtedly left beside the road with best motives, I'm sure that most of those who abandoned reality sincerely wanted to display the immeasurable love of God to a lost world. But we have failed to reveal the wonderful grace of Jesus we sing about with obedience in our everyday lives. Instead, we have produced an "old dishwater" kind of religion-that insipid, lukewarm
